What Would It Look Like?

What if the world embodied our highest potential? What would it look like? As the structures of modern society crumble, is it enough to respond with the same tired solutions?

Or are we being called to question a set of unexamined assumptions that form the very basis of our civilization?

This 25-minute retrospective asks us to reflect on the state of the world and ourselves, and to listen more closely to what is being asked of us at this time of unprecedented global transformation.

Oneness begins with me. The root of the problem is unconsciousness of individual humans. Every individual needs to transform , evolve, undergo a virtual metamorphosis of consciousness.
As the Ven Tenzin Palmo said in the video on awakening...the only hope is magic...a new " Big Bang" of some mysterious kind that creates a collective awakening.
How will this happen? Who knows? All we can do is hope that the underlying intelligent energy, the Tao that is the source and substance of all things, makes the miracle happen.

I am so delighted to have come upon your site with it's inspiring vision. I am a small time videographer who also supports a healing vision for our world. Some might call it naive, but I believe we must hold a different picture in our mind if we are to create change. Kudos to you. I love what you are doing.

I am a M.B.A student and i have seen and made lot of presentations. This is the best i have ever seen. I am in India and i know students are working hard to get a better life. People have their own lives to care about, everyone believes in , "just be happy". world.

We have boundries across the world, everything that matters is not actually important. i love a Quote, let me share it, "Take care of the pennies the pounds look after themselves" . That's exactly life should be... we should love humanity, every person around should be treated equally.

The difference of classes, countries, color, language are so important for us that we made barriers around us. All we care about is our benefit. And the irony is, doesnt matters how different all the people are, one thing is common that we all know how to hate others, how to deceive others.

Everyone is perfect about this. I am saying all this doesnt mean i am not part of this.

Thanks for sharing these meaningful thoughts. i would also like to mention that i have read the comments of all other. Thats a feel good factor, that still people think about the world, nature and love.

God bless the world.

Don't want to put a dampener on all this people but I think it was Kafka who said "There is hope but alas not for us"

If you want to make a distinction between "we" and those who are "really" in control such as the banking families, then don't you think there might be a distinction made when it comes to the "we" who "all" deserve what we get? Do you think people who care and do make an effort, more so than an individual would otherwise be expected or responsible of, or say a young child, deserve it just as much as those who are most responsible for the current conditions?

Everyone cares about something, even if it is just rhetoric, or rhetoric about rhetoric - but clearly we have to care for more than our own thoughts and feelings (even if it is *about* things bigger than ourselves) for anything to begin to *actually* happen. Otherwise I would agree - "we" WOULD deserve what we get.

Lots of lovely rhetoric. There's a lot of talk about "we" have done this or that to the world's resources and more about "we" must do this or that to fix it. The reality is that "we" have NO control over what's happening on this planet.
The majority (in the west) believe that they are free, they have no idea that every step they take is pre-determined by their global masters, until they wake up to this nothing will change. The masters have a plan, a dark and evil plan. The buddist lady touched on it, although very naively believing that the masters would never dare do it. The plan to reduce our numbers by billions is a real plan and is already in motion. The consumption of the masses wouldn't be so devastating to the earth if it weren't spurred on by the handful of elite banking families who want it ALL. Or would it, I don't know, we've plummeted down this road so far, so quickly that I have no idea if we can turn back, maybe it is too late, I don't know and frankly I don't care. We're a failed experiment and we'll all get what we deserve.

Independent wealth, our current dream, is the dream of an unsustainable world - interdependent wealth is the dream of a sustainable world that we must accomplish. To get there from here we need a revolution with no enemies, one in which the power of the global marketplace to deliver advances to every corner of the world is retained while the power of communities to control their own destinies is returned.

SunMoney is about creating local currency that's stronger than national currency so that communities are empowered to reclaim control of their destinies.

To help this change unfold, share the knowledge.

Religion is at the heart of our world problem. There will never be respect for each other until those believers stop trying to control everyone. Just really look at the past. It's all there in full living color!!

Thank you for all these films and the message which they convey. If I could just comment on the fact that it strikes me odd that a movement towards oneness ends up fueling all this hatred and blame for external organizations and ecomomic systems and even other people etc. The antithesis of the concept of oneness.

If it wasn't for capitalism for instance, this electronic forum and the technology and channels for these great films wouldn't even exist. Capitalism like all things external is just a reflection. In this case a reflection of values. In our western culture, we obviously value entertainment...sports, tv, movies (judging by the salaries in these industries) and money itself (share price and CEO salaries and bonuses given for creating money not necissarily value)more than we value human dignity. Of course most of this is just plain ignorance which these films help dispel. Money is the just exchange medium. I fully understand and am also a victim to the pitfalls of capitalism in an unenlightened world but we voluntarily channel our resources into the bank accounts or those things that we than love to vilify. We need to include the talents, energy, and resources of all sides politically, economically..etc. As soon as you take up extreme opposition you lock your self in a battle that will never end.

Like the subjects in these films...oneness starts with accessing or giving our attention to that part of ourselves that is the source of all things and beyond these dualistic battles. Our egos think that we or external things are that source. If we consistently shift our inner attention and live out of that place the external will shift accordingly. So rather than chase our tails villifying the reflection or frantically trying to change it maybe we need to question the "I" that is being reflected.
